Sadly, death is a fact of life and when a loved one dies we, at Barrhead, want to help you as you navigate the complex emotions that come with bereavement. We can offer a funeral service at the church or at the crematorium or cemetery.
Our approach is to work with you to design a service which honours your loved one and to make it very personal. A family member or friend may be invited to give the Eulogy or you may wish a minister to do that. A minister will meet with you before the service to help you plan it and, if is delivering the eulogy, will take extensive notes and email the draft eulogy for you to have a look at. This gives a chance to correct any errors and, often, prompts more memories of things that should be included.
In the weeks following the funeral you may find contact from a minister useful and you may find coming along to worship or our other events a comfort in this time of change or transition. Do get in touch if we can help in any way.
